I have a multifaceted practice, balancing design with education and academic scholarship. If you ask me what I do, I usually list the following set of activities: artist, designer, educator, colourist, collaborator, theorist, writer.
I proudly serve as an Associate Professor within the School of Art + Design at Portland State University. I have written and developed coursework on: design thinking, research, theory and topics like failure.
My design scholarship predominantly resides in an avant-garde journal entitled LIVD. Second to this, I maintain a studio practice, and I regularly write peer-reviewed, scholarly papers on design.
I maintain a freelance practice in design with a robust client list.
