About Meredith

Meredith James received her Master of Fine Arts degree from Cranbrook Academy of Art in 2008. The program at Cranbrook is highly competitive and widely regarded as one of the best in the world. Today, she remains a practicing designer, while also serving as Associate Professor in the Graphic Design Program at Portland State University.


Graphic Design

Meredith’s design practice includes commercial and pro-bono work, as well as experimental projects that have been exhibited across the US. Her clients include the University of Southern California, Lear Corporation, Deloitte, and The Henry Ford Museum, and her experimental projects have been exhibited in cities from New Orleans to Detroit.


Exhibition Record

Meredith has exhibited work in a number of national and international exhibitions, from motion graphics at Cinema Reset in New Orleans, to archival prints at the Los Angeles Center for Digital Art, and interactive collaborative performances at the Long Beach and Kansas City SoundWalks.
