About Meredith

Meredith James received her Master of Fine Arts degree from Cranbrook Academy of Art in 2008. The program at Cranbrook is highly competitive and widely regarded as one of the best in the world. Today, she remains a practicing designer, while also serving as Associate Professor in the Graphic Design Program at Portland State University.

Meredith currently teaches in the Graphic Design Program within the School of Art + Design at Portland State University. She has been at Portland State since 2014, focusing on theory, research, writing and design thinking. Her pedagogy is the basis for her scholarly articles and presentations.
